Winter is coming

It's the Sabbath and it is really cool here in Kentucky. The leaves are turning colors. Yesterday I made some yummy Sassafras tea, and this morning my wonderful husband dumped it down the sink....by mistake. He thought it was a few days old. Ah, well, I will just have to make some more. A delicious way to warm up a body!

I love this time of year, and have already taken a walk down a dead end road with our chihuahuas following along. They love taking walks! And so do I. With winter coming, we are in a dilima because we live in two houses located on adjoining properties. We have a "summer" home and a "winter" home. Both homes have woodstoves. One is located downstairs (in the summer home) and doesn't warm the enitre home. The winter home has a woodstove in the living room and a furnace. So the house always has heat. The problem: both homes are too small for our families. So.....I love the winter home, and my husband loves the summer home.

How are we going to solve the dilima peaceably and without hurt or anger? I don't know, and it has me torn. My husband isn't fond of the idea of living in the winter home.....he wants to live in the summer home and freeze, and pay an exorbitant price for kerosene and electricity for space heaters.

But on a good note....Jessup is selling! (smile!)
